On the Quba homefront:

Francois is putting together a book called, The Mind's Eye, a selection of his newspaper illustrations from the past 15 years. His illustrations on the front of Dispatches are no longer being published in The Sunday Independent due to budgetary constraints at the newspaper, but there is an exciting exhibition to look forward to. We will keep you posted.

We've had an exciting few months and here are just a few of the interesting design projects we were involved in:

Award-winning photographer, Jodi Bieber's book, Soweto, will hit the bookshops soon. The book is published by Jacana.

Terry February's photographic docu-book, On Track, records the construction of the Cape Town Stadium.

Shamwari: Soul of the Earth, written by Heather Dugmore, is the story of how a barren landscape was transformed into world-class game reserve.

The Eland's People and People of the Eland completed last year is Patricia Vinnicombe's study of the rock paintings of the Drakensberg Bushmen as a reflection of their life and thought.

We enjoyed two weeks of out-of-the-office-fun when they followed a group of international photographers across Johannesburg. Quba documented a photographic workshop for the German Organisation for Technical Co-operation (GTZ) which culminated in a photo exhibition in Berlin and Pretoria with the theme, "Diversity - impulse for development".

In March this year, Quba collaborated with acclaimed photographer, Gideon Mendel and David Gere from the University of California in Los Angeles (UCLA) on Through Positive Eyes - a photographic exhibition which highlights the trials, tribulations and successes of a group of 17 HIV positive South Africans.
